Oh my, I haven’t had banana splits for so long. Yes, I should definitely make them this summer!

Or a banana sliced down the middle and filled with chunks of dark chocolate, wrapped in foil and put above the bbq! absolute heaven xx

These are all so delicious and lovely ideas. I've just downloaded Tom Lake on audiobook. Hopefully whilst listening to it I'll be convinced it's summer and won't notice how miserable and dreich it is outside! ☀️

It is the most lovely and nostalgic book ❤️ a tiny bit slow but I listened to half last summer and going to listen to the rest this summer. Let me know if you enjoy xx

That’s so lovely! I created something similar in my newsletter last week, I’ve inviting my reader to create a Creativity Summer Menu. It’s not a to-do list, it’s a ‘maybe’ list of curious possibilities.

This is so beautiful and evocative, thank you for these brilliant ideas. I actually have tickets for an antiques fair tomorrow! And Tom Lake is very much on my list, Meryl Streep voicing it is an even stronger pull! Yes to all the flowers, I am feeling called to return to the nostalgia of my flower pressing days! xx

Beautiful! It’s the little things. 🍒 I always wondered about cherry pie - I love cherries but the admin? Maybe one summer I’ll get curious!

Such great ideas for July, thank you for the inspiration! ♡

I am planning on doing plenty of wild swimming this July as I live close by a swimming lake here in France and I do love reading in the sunshine with an iced coffee! 😊 I love the idea about dressing up like it is the 1950s for the day too!!

I just rewatched the film 'Brooklyn' and it made me want to wear poodle skirts and eat candy floss on a boardwalk/pier somewhere haha. The idea of a lake in France sounds utterly heavenly x

Sounds delightful! I actually own a 1950s underskirt, which I picked up at a charity shop last year... I just need to sew a poodle skirt for it now! I have not yet watched Brooklyn, I will look it up. 😊♡

I look forward to these posts every month! I've just finished reading 'Tom Lake' (listening on audiobook - with Meryl Streep's voice!!). Beautiful. There is so much inspiration on here: I'm drawn particularly to numbers 8, 10, 15 and 17, but could quite easily print off the whole list and try to work my way through it!

Meryl’s reading of the novel is just so tender and heart warming. ❤️ I’m potentially moving house so I’m antiques fairs as I want to get rid of all my Ikea bits and bobs and invest in really beautiful period pieces. Have you got any lovely summer plans? X

It was so so beautiful to have her voice and talent behind the words! I looked forward to listening it every day. So fun with the move! Hope you’re feeling ok about it? We moved this time last year and also updated a lot of our Ikea bits with second hand and it has changed the aesthetic of our house so much for the better. We have got a little camping trip in the Lakes in August, but otherwise it’ll just be as much time in the garden as possible, tending to the fruit and veg x

Love this list Aimée - I've always wanted to go to a pick your own flower farm, the Somerset and Wilstshire ones are an hour and a bit away from me so that'd be a great summer activity 🌸🌼. Going for an ice cream is always a good idea, oohh and I love the sound of that pink gin cream with strawberries 🍓

The field near my house had a wildflower meadow last Summer and it was £5 for PYO posy. Such simple joys. I’ll have to check out the Wiltshire / Somerset farms! X
