Ooh yes! For me it was all the cooking ones: making gingerbread and homemade gifts especially. I love to make extended family marmalade for Christmas and really must get cracking!
Seasonal lists like these are always so fun and inspiring! I love how they capture the essence of the season and offer great ideas to make the most of it!
I love giving books as Christmas gifts - I've been doing it for a few years and people are always really please to receive an actual book as lots of us no longer read physical books anymore! Will definitely have to try the Icelandic book swap, next...
I'd add, if you're in the North of England, a trip to see the Fenwick Christmas window in Newcastle is definitely one for the 'could-do' list and a well-established tradition for many of us in this part of the world.
Ooooo I love a physical book and the delight of having too many to fit on my bookshelves. That said there are certain books I don’t feel I need a copy of and would happily read on candle. I also love audiobooks but again very much depends!
Thank you for the recommendation! I’ve actually only been to the Lake District and don’t know the North at all.) I bet there are glorious places near you x
Gingerbread, the Tailor of Gloucester, and brightly colored paper chains (thanks to a basement stash of old flower calendars) are all on our December/January list this year! I do so love the many ways to bring brilliance into the coldest months. And I'll be drawing a few more from this list during the children's Christmas holiday, Aimée. Thank you for sharing!
Loving these and your humour woven amongst them Aimee 🎄 I’m going to do as many of these as I can before Christmas and on the Southern Hemisphere. Merry Christmas!
Have been lucky enough to experience a handful of these over the past few days, including lighting candles at dinner, buying book gifts at a local bookshop, writing Christmas cards, and signing up to a Jolabokaflod jolly - and it all feels wonderful 🥰
Love love love all of these!! I feel like printing it off, sticking it on the fridge, and working through them all 😍
Oooh, I'm really looking forward to reading a book in one sitting especially! It takes my right back to childhood

I concur :)

So joyous!! I've copied and pasted an unexpectedly large number of them to my notes so I can mark them off!
I should do that too so I actually end up doing them 🤞
I loved this list: non-prescriptive and joyful!
Happy Christmas to you, Giulia! Attending one of your cookery retreats is on my to-wish for list in 2025! xx
how I would love to have you here!
Just reading this made my breath slow down ...outside of Cyber Week emails and end of year fatigue...THIS is Christmas. xo
No 29. The Fortnum and Mason display is definitely to be marvelled at! Great list of things to do this Christmas.
I'm going to see it tomorrow and I can't wait!

I love all of these! I want to be in England and doing all these not sweltering Australia.
Aw, I would love to be somewhere with the sunshine on my face and not the constant storms beating outside!

Thank you so much for saying this ❤️
Lovely list. Small things can do so much to put us in the festive mood.🎄And I’m always glad when you include the cheesemonger…
You know me! I can’t resist the cheesemonger! 🤤❤️
